Mira Akiki, Soprano

Mira is graduated in opera performance in 2015 from the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music with honors, class of Toufic Maatouk.

She debuted as Marcellina in Nozze di Figaro (2013), Berta in Rossinis’s Barbiere di Siviglia (2014 and 2017), Despina in Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte” (2015) and as Adina in Donizetti’s “Elisir d’amore” (2016), productions of the Opera Studio of the Antonine university & Lebanese conservatory alongside the “Orchestra Giovanile Mediterranea” and the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Toufic Maatouk. She performed in different festivals including: Beirut chants festival (2015) and Al Bustan festival (2015) as Clotilde in Bellini’s Norma under Gianluca Marciano, AZM cultural center Christmas festival event (2015),….

Mira Akiki had the privilege to work with renowned singers and vocal coaches such as Elizabeth Norberg Shultz, Cinzia Forte, Caterina Di Tonno, Shady Torbey, Fabio Centanni, Denis Dubois and many others, and since the start of her vocal career at the Lebanese higher conservatory of music, she has been under the watchful eye of Toufic Maatouk  . She collaborated with many directors as Marco Spada, Alessio Pizzech and Roberto Catalano.

Mira Akiki enjoys ensemble works; she was a member and a soloist in NDU choir and  is currently soloist in the Antonine University choir and performed along with the choir in Naples, Rome, Amman…


Corinne Metni, Soprano

Lebanese- French Soprano Corinne Metni‘ 12 LL.M and legal counsel at
Aboukheir & Metni Law Firm developed her love for music and vocal
training while completing her academics in Political Sciences and in Banking
and Financial Law at Saint Joseph University in Beirut.
In 2008, while working at Dewey and LeBoeuf Law Firm in London, Corinne
pursued her vocal coaching with Jennifer Mc Gregor and Tina Ruta,
previous coach at the Royal Opera House.
In 2011, She took intensive courses in Singapore with Jeong Ae Ree,
founder of New Opera Singapore, while completing her LLM in
International Business Law at La Sorbonne-Assas International Law School
hosted by Insead (Asia) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In pursuit of excellence she continued refining and developing her vocal
technique by participating in several masterclasses and working with
eminent professors such as Peggy Bouveret, Nona Manoyan and Mihaela
Corinne is a member and ambassador for Lebanon of the Peace &
Prosperity Trust, a non-profit organization presided by HRH the Duke of
Gloucester to promote young artists. With P&PT, Corinne participated in
several concerts i.e. at the Cadogan Hall in London and in Lebanon under
the baton of conductor Toby Purser to name a few.
Corinne has performed opera, operetta, musical theater and concert in
Paris, London, Abu dhabi, Singapore and Beirut; her appearances include
Musetta in La Bohème, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Christine Daee in
Phantom of the Opera.
Corinne also performed before the Presidents of the Republics of Lebanon
and Armenia; she was also a soloist with « les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-
Marc », the renowned choir from the Movie “Les Choristes” and sang as a
guest artist in Guy Manoukian’s Concert in London.
On several occasions Corinne participated in Beirut Chants Festival in
particular with Orchestra Giovanile Mediterranea from Palermo under
conductor Sebastien Bagnoud as well as with the young artists of the Peace
and Prosperity Trust, and as a soloist with la “Chanterie de Beyrouth”.
She sang with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra led by Maestro Harout

Fazlian and several concerts with “Quatuor Musique Del Tempo”organized
by “Selecteum des Arts et des Sciences”.
She sang as well, at the National Museum of Lebanon for the Francophonie
Day and at Zouk Festival for One Night on Broadway Show.
Corinne has often given her talent to raise funds and awareness for a
variety of causes: in tribute concerts (tribute to the Lebanese journalist Mr.
Samir Kassir and to the martyrs of Lebanese Army…), charitable
organizations (Chance, Cenacle de la Lumiere, Hemophilia, Kun Hadi, A toi
Marie, Tamanna, St Jude Children Care…).


Bechara Moufarrej, Tenor

Since graduating in 2009 from his master degree in Music in Lebanon he commenced his studies further in Italy and subsequently joined the opera studio back in his home town in Beirut in 2013.

Bechara Moufarrej has continued to delight audiences worldwide in some of the most celebrated venues, playing some of the greatest leading operatic roles and collaborating with renowned vocal coaches, conductors and orchestras.
Bechara Moufarrej was born in Lebanon and is one of the few singers who has started pursuing an operatic career outside Lebanon.
During his studies, he also benefitted from masterclasses with Maestra Michaella Mingheras in France, Simone Alaimo in Palermo, Maestra Sylvana Ferraro in Rome and lately with Vittorio Terranova.
Bechara has collaborated with the Lebanese Orchestra, the Filarmonica Romana, Welsh National Orchestra and the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana under the baton of conductors like P. Khalil Rahme , Lubnan Baalbaki , Harout Fazilian , Alberto Maniaci , P. Toufic Maatouk and Nicola Pascovski and many others.
His most recent appearances include opera houses and festivals in Qatar, Dubai, Canada, Italy, UK and the Opera de Paris in France.
In 2013, Bechara performed the role of Don Jose in Bizet’s Carmen at the Cirque d’Hiver in Paris and subsequently undertook the role of Don Basilio in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte and Conte d’Almaviva in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Jago in Otello di Rossini. This was in collaboration with the Antonine University in Beirut , the Lebanese Conservatory and Al Bustan Festival .
After his great success as Conte d’Almaviva in Beirut, his engagements in the same role took him to such places as the Teatro Giulio di Lucca , Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Teatro Verdi in Pisa and Teatro Coccia in Novara under the baton of Nicola Pascovski and in the staging of Alessio Pizzech.
Bechara has been offered in 2016 an exceptional talent lifetime visa from the UK government and moved to London in order to be a part of the NOS and to perform in the future years at the Royal Opera house of London after he already performed “ La Favorita “ , “ La Traviata “  and “ Rigoletto “ at the Welsh National Opera the last year.
