La Chanterie de Beyrouth

Twenty five years ago Mrs. Noha Hatem founded with her artistic director Mrs.Isabelle Issahakian the Lebanese Children’s choir called La Chanterie de Beyrouth .The objective of the choir is to promote and nurture young musical talent all the while contributing to Lebanese culture. 

Open to all children between the ages of 6 to 14 and from different backgrounds, the choir has initiated a love of music of all genres and has contributed to enlivening musical events throughout Lebanon. 

Mrs. Noha Hatem studied musicology and pedagogy at the Institute of Musicology in Lyon, France, and has participated in several internships in London,Germany and France .She later specialized in Music Appreciation for Children.

Her dedication as choirmaster of the Chanterie de Beyrouth has merited her the Chevalier des Palmes Academiques from the French government and the Medal of Order of Isabel from the Spanish government.

Mrs.Isabelle Issahakian the artistic director of the choir has a degree in Architecture and Musicology. Since the foundation of the choir  she has shared both her   talent as a musician and dedicated service to all the children past and present  of La Chanterie de Beyrouth.
